Durham Convention Center Implements Quick Quote Solutions
Better Serving Meeting & Wedding Clients
Boca Raton, Florida June 22 2012 — MAD-Marketing announced today that the Durham Convention Center has joined selected properties managed by Global Spectrum to expedite the lead response process for meetings and weddings using the industry’s first “Instant Response Solution” for their RFP booking process.
The MeetingQuick Quote and WeddingQuick Quote applications will be featured on the Durham Convention Center website, in order to provide professional planners and online users with instant quotes for their specific requirements, including tentative date confirmation and estimated costs.
“Today everyone is online. They want and expect immediate answers. We implemented the QuickQuote Solutions on our site to better serve the meeting and wedding planning community,” said Jen Noble, Global Spectrum’s General Manager for the Durham Convention Center. “This will in no way replace the personal relationship between our experienced sales team, led by Louise LeClaire, and our customers. However, providing an instant proposal within seconds is just one more example of our effort to exceed our customers’ expectations.”

The Durham Convention Center, managed by Global Spectrum, underwent a comprehensive $6.9 million renovation in January 2011. With over 33,000 square feet of space, the center features 2 ballrooms, numerous indoor and outdoor function spaces. Centrally located, the facility offers on-site audio/visual and sound services, staging, event management and catering.
