The Florida Aquarium Announces Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phase I of their Rising Tides Campaign The Florida Aquarium Announces Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phase I of their Rising Tides Campaign For Immediate Release Tampa, Fla. - (October 26, 2012) – The official groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of The Florida Aquarium’s Rising Tides Campaign is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30th at 8:00am in the Coral Reef Gallery. On track for completion in three phases over four years, The Florida Aquarium’s Rising Tides Campaign has raised over $8-million of the total $15-million necessary to complete the project. Phase I is scheduled to be completed by May 2013 and will lay the foundation for the entire project with the construction of the West Wing, expansion/ enhancement of the Rays Touch Tank and additional meeting space. The West Wing will serve as the entrance to the 3rd level Mosaic Center once the project is complete and will house additional space for new exhibits and meetings.
